I am a ceramicist based in the Macedon Ranges, near Melbourne, Australia, originally from the UK with a background in textiles. I work with richly coloured and textured stoneware clays, using a combination of handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques, to create functional and sculptural pieces for the home. I also occasionally collaborate with other creatives on commercial and architectural projects.

My work is process driven. I am fascinated by the nature of ceramic materials and allow the unique characteristics of the clay, glaze minerals and fire to guide me. I am drawn to strong, simple, expressive forms and embellishments that allow the essence of the raw and earthy materials to shine through.

I acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples of the Kulin nation, and pay my respects to their Elders past and present.
